Why do we need Candidate Portal?

According to Cranfield University and the CIPD, the large majority of candidates now prefer to apply on-line for jobs.

As a result more and more organisations recognise that a company website can be a major recruitment tool - an interactive communications channel between a company and future employees.

This greater willingness to apply for jobs and careers online and to log CV's speculatively, means job seekers now have much higher expectations of company website based careers areas.

It's therefore important for companies to optimise the experience the job seeker has when applying for a job - Candidate Portal helps you do that.

Creating a better website experience for the job seeker will enhance your reputation as an employer of choice ultimately encouraging more people to hit the careers/job application button speculatively and apply.

Candidate Portal can help ensure that your organisation gets the  most from your website investment - our cost effective e-recruitment solutions are capable of limiting unnecessary third party agency spend, therefore reducing costs, as well as speeding up and simplifying the recruitment process.

Can we build a system ourselves?

Many businesses use developers to develop simple content managed systems, which publish email links from jobs on their website. This type of system can create downstream problems,  candidates CV's are difficult to screen, share and distribute, with the additional potential of clogged up email inboxes, leading to confused or expensive administration, the potential of delays, lost CV's and a bad perception of the company by candidates.

This asks the question. Is the task of developing a recruitment management and application system your IT or web developers real expertise?

Our secure applicant tracking and candidate recruitment software is now very affordable and companies no longer need to take the time and money to write and implement their own recruitment application system - many of which become outdated quickly and soon need additional investment in time and money.

Writing a world-class recruitment and candidate management solution which has the candidate functionality and front-office benefits of Candidate Portal is time-consuming and costly and requires ongoing support if there is to be a successful implementation and true return on your investment.

Purchasing or leasing a solution like Candidate Portal will be faster to implement (and cheaper) and you will benefit from tried & tested technology developed by industry experts. In addition you will be using a future-proofed system and benefit from regular updates and improvements to the system as part of the service.

If you are thinking about employing external website developers or using your in-house IT team to create a solution - then it's worth considering all these factors prior to your final decision.

How will it streamline our administration?

Candidate Portal streamlines the candidate application process and administration from the beginning to the end of the recruitment process.

When companies use email application links from their website or advertisements, they can find their email systems clogged up with candidates, most of which are unsuitable and all of whom require a response. Candidate Portal provides all the tools to pool candidates outside of your email system, store information in a secure database.

Candidate Portal responds to applicants and screens out ‘unsuitables’ up-front, whilst the system’s business bespoke communication tools mean you can respond in a timely manner as you wish to progress each individual candidates application.

Using their own unique password protected log-in, candidates can check their information is up to date and their application status at any time – saving phone calls or emails to your organisation and your time.

Speculative applications are then pooled in business bespoke talent banks, rather than lost in your colleagues’ inboxes, meaning you can all access relevant candidates when you need them.

The result is less administration, a simplified transparent recruitment process and a better experience for both candidate and employer.

Candidate Portal can be hosted from any corporate website, stand-alone recruitment micro-site or used offline outside of the website environment for one-off advertising campaigns or recruitment projects.

The system can also be used across multiple group websites and applications pooled in to one central database, or in separate databases if each business requires unique access to their own information.

You can also purchase and self-manage the software and hardware, and we provide a range of flexible finance options to support this option and the purchase of licences, installation and training.

Price options are available to suit the needs of single-sites, multi-site clients and on a Pay-per candidate basis (if supported on a leased basis).
